I watched a documentary about airlines losing their “gates” and hub airports and how they would fly empty flights just to keep them and it’s the most stupid form of deregulation and capitalism I can think of. \n\nIt all comes down to money. The car industry lobby is really powerful too! Japan offered to build a Shinkansen in the US and do all the costs and teach us how to build them and we said nah. \n\nWe are dumb.
