Ugh. So true. I watched a documentary about airlines losing their “gates” and hub airports and how they would fly empty flights just to keep them and it’s the most stupid form of deregulation and capitalism I can think of. It all comes down to money. The car industry lobby is really powerful too! Japan offered to build a Shinkansen in the US and do all the costs and teach us how to build them and we said nah. We are dumb. Really really dumb.
