Several people are sadly feared to have died while others are still trapped under the collapsed building. \nReports emerged that the construction of the building was irregularly approved by the county government. \nWe are seeing a case of institutional corruption whereby life-safety standards are compromised for political and profit gain. \nI hate corruption because this is a common occurrence in my country and it puts people's lives at risk. \nI wonder, if the political meant to protect the lives of common citizens are greedy and dont care about us, then who will? \n#food 4 thought \n\nhttps://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2026/10/23/many-feared-trapped-after-multistorey-building-collapses-in-kenya","links":[{"url":"https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2026/10/23/many-feared-trapped-after-multistorey-building-collapses-in-kenya","title":"Several people missing after multistorey building collapses in Kenya"}],"farcaster":"https://farcaster.xyz/cryptobaddie/0x592141771e61e1b851c27b56d6217700d7e0e089","firefly":"https://firefly.social/post/farcaster/0x592141771e61e1b851c27b56d6217700d7e0e089"}
