We have this little black mirror sitting in the palm of our hands capable of transmitting pieces of our consciousness across time and space nearly instantaneously, reaching people all over the world who we'd likely never meet in this lifetime, yet somehow recognize something familiar within. But, the same instrument that connects us also broadcasts our expression to people who have absolutely no access to who we are in reality. They're receiving fragments, a few seconds, maybe a few minutes of our consciousness at a time, and suddenly somebody has a diagnosis, a very precise one, of who you are, and a complete understanding of your intentions, all before you've finished your morning tea or coffee. We learn which parts of ourselves are welcome and begin organizing ourselves around belonging, but if you're constantly adjusting to prevent misunderstanding, who's actually being seen? And how are the people who genuinely resonate with you supposed to find you?
