I've always been a stomach sleeper with one leg bent upwards. Recurring pain moved me to look into healthier sleeping positions. Moving forward I'm going to focus on side sleeping because it feels more natural to me than sleeping on my back and has other benefits - Good breathing airflow - Neck and back alignment - If you have heartburn the left side tends to be better - etc. I'm also going to add a small pillow between my knees to reduce pressure on the hips.

Slow is good I did my 2nd cacao ceremony tonight at @edgecity since the 1st one 5 years ago in Medellín, Colombia. Both were amazing. Because I was prepared for this one with something I needed to think through I feel that I took away even more than the 1st time. I'm well disciplined in every area of health I can think of except for sleep. - During my session I thought about how I can create positive feelings in the evening before bed - What I came up with is to think about how "slow is good". Slowing down and doing less leads to rest and sleep. - I realized before the session that I associate being tired with feeling bad and that I pump myself up in the evening to feel good about what I did that day or the upcoming day instead of allowing myself to feel tired - I didn't like "sleep is good" because that is too goal oriented. If I'm not sleeping right away than I could feel anxious.
